Overview
In the Simple Search, Search Builder, and Advanced Search articles, you can learn how to create detailed searches. Creating these searches is useful and saving them to reuse them is a particularly time saving option.

Saving a Search
Follow the steps below to save a search.
- Perform a basic or advanced search in the search builder.
- Click the Save Search button.
- Enter a name for your saved search in the appropriate field.
- Click the Save button.
Once saved, the search will be available in the "Saved Searches" tab can be run anytime as well as updated when necessary.
Running a Saved Search
Follow the steps below to run an existing saved search.
- Click the Saved Searches icon located in the upper right corner of the SpecLive screen.
If you have already clicked the Search Builder, you can click the Saved Searches tab located next to the Search Builder tab.
Note that the number of currently saved searches appears in parenthesis next to the saved Searches link.
- Locate the search you want to run from the list of saved searches. A list of actions will be available at the right end of the row.
Run: invoke the search in the Search Builder. View: Review the search criteria for the selected search. Duplicate: Duplicate the search to make minor adjustments. Edit: Access the search criteria allowing edits to be made. Delete: Deletes the selected search. - Click the "run" action icon (magnifying glass) to run the search. The search will run and provide current results.
Edit and Update a Saved Search
Saved searches can be edited to match updated needs.
Follow the steps below to update an existing saved search.
- Access the Saved Searches tab.
- Locate the desired search in the list of saved searches.
- Click the edit action icon.
The search will open in the search builder providing access for editing. - When the desired edits have been made, click the Update Search button to update your search.
