Generating Individual Tag Reports

Overview

SpecLink Cloud allows for the creation of Individual Tag reports. 

Individual Tag Reports are derived from the use of Report Tags located in the Sequence Manager. Review the Utilizing Report Tags article to learn how to work with master tags and Creating User Report Tags as well as create and manage custom tags.

Steps for Generating Individual Tag Reports

Follow the steps below to generate individual tag reports. 

1. From within a section, click the Reporting icon in the SpecLink Cloud toolbar.
   
   
   
   The Reporting menu will appear.
   
   
   
   
2. From the "Select Report" drop down menu, select Individual Tag Reports.
   
   
   
   The "Select tag report(s) to include" drop down menu will appear.
   
   
   
   
3. From the "Select tag report(s) to include" drop down menu, select the tags from which the report will be generated. The Manufacturer Listing tag (ML) has been selected in the image below.
   
   
   
   
4. After selecting the tag or tags that the report will be based on, review and select report options.
   
   
   
   
   • Include cover sheet: adds a cover sheet to the report.
   • Include full text: includes full text of all appropriately tagged active paragraphs and their parent paragraphs. This option is not available when multiple tags are selected.
     
     
5. Click Export and select PDF or Word.
   
   
   
   
6. Alternatively you can select Print which will open a PDF in another browser tab allowing you to print or save from there. 
   
   
   
   Your choice of file type will be created and automatically downloaded to your Downloads folder.
   Your browser may handle downloads differently so if you have any issues downloading files from the internet, please check with your systems administrator.

Steps for Exporting Individual Tag Reports to Excel

Follow the steps below to export individual tag reports to Excel. 

1. From within a section, click the Reporting icon in the SpecLink Cloud toolbar.
   
   
   
   The Reporting menu will appear.
   
   
   
   
2. From the "Select Report" drop down menu, select Individual Tag Reports.
   
   
   
   The "Select tag report(s) to include" drop down menu will appear.
   
   
   
   
3. From the "Select tag report(s) to include" drop down menu, select the tags from which the report will be generated. The Manufacturer Listing tag (ML) has been selected in the image below.
   
   
   
   
4. After selecting the tag or tags that the report will be based on, review and select report options.
   
   
   
   
   • Include full text: includes full text of all appropriately tagged active paragraphs and their parent paragraphs. 
   • Include untagged subparagraphs: includes any subparagraphs included in the branch that are not tagged. 
     
5. Select the Scope of Report. Options available will be Project, Division, or Section.
   
   
   
   When Division or Section are selected, a selection menu will appear below the Scope of Report allowing for the selection of the Division or Section from the available activated content.
6. Click Export.
   
   

The exported Excel spreadsheet will provide the ability to filter and sort by the following columns:

• Division Number
• Division Name
• Section Name
• Section Number
• Sequence Paragraph Number
• Tag Label
• Tag Source
• Paragraph Text
