The Sequence Manager in SpecLink Cloud

Overview

The Sequence Manager is located on the left margin of the section editing window. 

The Sequence Manager is a fly out menu that houses the access points for Notes, Links, and Tags.

Notes

There are 2 types of Notes:

• Master Notes are created and edited by the RIB Content team. Master Notes could contain detailed information from our Content Team, manufacturer and product details, and links to reference standard details.
• Project Notes are user created notes for any sequence (paragraph) that could contain text, bullet points, images, and hyperlinks.

Links

Links are the driving intelligence in SpecLink Cloud.

There are 2 types of links:

• Source Links - impacts the current paragraph. Source links are viewed mainly for information but they can be created by the user.
• Target Links - where the current paragraph will cause an effect. Target links are where most user defined links are built.

There are 3 link options:

• Paragraph Links link a paragraph to another paragraph or a paragraph to a choice all within the same section.
• Choice Links link a choice to a paragraph or a choice to another choice all within the same section.
• Cross-Section Links are a variation on Paragraph and Choice links with the result taking place in two sections as opposed to the same section.

Tags

SpecLink Cloud has 2 types of Tags:

• View Tags determine which views (Outline, Short Form, Full Spec) the sequence (paragraph) will appear in the section.
• Report Tags allow for the creation on reports based on the tag placed on the sequence (paragraph)
