Sharing a Project Version In SpecLive Collaborate

Overview

SpecLive Collaborate provides the ability to create multiple version of a project. Learn more about creating versions here. Each version of a project can be shared with another SpecLive Collaborate user.

Sharing a Project Version

Follow the steps below to share a project version.

1. From within a SpecLive Collaborate project, click the Versions button located in the top left corner of the SpecLive Collaborate window, next to the project name.
   
   
   
   The Project Version Card will open displaying the different versions of the project.
   
   
   
   The Project Versions Card displayed above shows the only version as the Primary Draft.
   
   
2. From the Project Versions Card, click the Share button located on the version to be shared.
   
   
   
   The Share Project form will appear. 
   
   
   
   
3. Enter a valid email address and click enter or tab for each collaborator. 
   
   
   
   
   
   Email addresses for up to 5 collaborators can be entered but enter or tab must be hit for each to confirm the entry.
   
   
4. Select an Access Type from the menu.
   
   
   
   
5. Enter a message if necessary in the provided field.
   
   
   
   
6. Click the Send button.
   
   

Those who have been requested to collaborate on the project will receive the confirmation email below:

The My Projects list will indicate if the user have projects shared by them, and/or projects shared with them.
