Overview
SpecLive Collaborate Version 2026.1.2 provides new features and fixes to the system.
New Features
The following new features have been added to SpecLive Collaborate:
Read-Only Mode Visual Indicator
A visual indicator has been introduced to clearly communicate when a user is in read‑only (view‑only) mode.
When a user is logged out, or has view‑only access, a prominent “View Only” label with a lock icon is displayed in the interface. This indicator ensures users are immediately aware that they cannot make edits to the document.
This enhancement improves user awareness, reduces confusion, and provides a clearer distinction between editable and non‑editable states within the application.
Display New Document for All Active Project Users
When a project is shared and multiple users are actively working within, any new document imported by a user is now immediately visible to all active users within the project.
When a document is imported by any collaborator during concurrent editing, the user interface automatically refreshes to display the newly added document across all active user sessions without requiring a manual reload.
Additionally, a notification is displayed to inform collaborators about the update. The notification clearly indicates:
- The name of the user who imported the document
- The name of the document that was added
This ensures a seamless and synchronized user experience, allowing all collaborators to instantly view the latest updates and maintain alignment while working on shared projects.
Fixes
The following fixes have been made to SpecLive Collaborate:
- Several security improvements and fixes have been made to continually upgrade the systems protection of sensitive information and data.
- A list of defects has been repaired including enhanced real‑time collaboration and data consistency, ensuring a seamless shared editing experience, making user avatars consistent across a project, and improving the overall consistency of the user interface.
- Various data fixes that are project or customer specific have been applied since the previous release.
