Layout
The section and company Spec Rate totals are provided in a Grid that has Filter, Sort and Search capabilities. There is also a configurable Analytics window that provides additional detail when a specific row in the grid is selected. This Analytics window will appear automatically for SpecLive Impact users who have a Tier 3 and Tier 6 entitlement.
Understanding the Spec Rate Data
All Building Product Manufacturers with a SpecLive Impact license have one or more sections in their license entitlement. When any SpecLink Company creates a project that includes one of these sections, it will show up on this report as either included (the BPM has been listed at least once in a section) or not included (the BPM was not listed). The number of projects a BPM was included is expressed as a percentage of the total projects possible: Spec Rate.
The grid provides both a project level Spec Rate for each individual company, and a section level breakdown. Not all projects will contain all the potential sections a specific BPM is entitled to.
The Category column classifies both companies and individual sections into High (above 65%), Intermittent (64% to 26%) and Low (below 25%) classifications with regard to their respective Spec Rates.
Section Detail
The user can click the arrow to the left of the Company Name to expand the section detail. Clicking the arrow again or clicking on an arrow for another Company will close the section detail. Section detail can only be opened for one Company at a time.
Filtering the Spec Rate Data
Selecting the Filter Button will allow the user to narrow the default 2 year, all locations, all sections view.
Multiple filters can be applied to restrict the data displayed.
Filters can be removed by opening the filters button again and making adjustments, or by clicking the x on the individual “Current Filters” control.
Sort the Grid
Clicking on the individual column header will sort the entire grid based on the data in that column.
The example below depicts the grid being sorted by the Percentage column.
Search by Company Name
The “Company” header is normally set to allow a user to sort the column alphabetically by clicking on it. Clicking on the Search icon to the left will provide a free form search box.
Clicking the “X” at the end of the search control will exit search mode.
The Analytics Window
Provided the SpecLive licensee has Tier 6 access, selecting any company project row or company section detail will activate the Analytics Window and provide detail on that specific item.
Trendline Graph
Each individual project shown on the grid is mapped on this timeline. Inclusions are shown in green and improve the overall Spec Rate. Not Included Projects are shown in red. This trendline is intended to provide a clear picture of whether the BPM Spec Rate is improving or declining over time for the item highlighted in the grid.
Hovering over a specific data point will provide some additional detail.
The Tooltip will show whether the BPM was included or not included on this project, as well as the specific Spec Rate at this point in time. If review the summary information for a company, the individual included sections that caused to become part of the Spec Rate data will be shown here.
The tooltip will also display the project creation and last modified date. The last modified date will always be where this project appears on the trendline graph.
If this project is updated by the SpecLink user, the last modified date will update as well and will appear at a different place on the trendline on future viewings.
Individual project will often change the status on included/not included as well.
Adjusting the time period shown on the Trendline Graph
The time period shown is set up by default to match the time period currently showing in the grid. The time can be adjusted for the specific item currently being shown using the controls just below the graph.
Project Location, Facility Type, Project Type Charts
Each chart can be configured by the individual user to display in either list or chart view.
