Overview
One of the features on the SpecLink Cloud toolbar is the ability to show and hide different columns within a SpecLink Cloud Section.
Utilizing this feature, will allow users to toggle visibility of multiple columns with additional information. Those columns are for showing reporting tags, paragraph view tags, links, notes, and sequence origin.
Steps to Show/Hide Columns
Follow the steps below to show or hide different columns.
- From within a section, click the Show/Hide Columns icon on the SpecLink Cloud toolbar.
The selection dropdown menu will appear.
- Click on the checkbox or checkboxes to select the which columns to have constantly visible while working in a SpecLink Cloud section.
- The selected columns will become visible to the left of the Sequence Number column.
Columns
Report
Selecting Report will activate the Report Tags column to remain visible. This column will show all report tags that have been applied to that sequence number. Review the Utilizing Report Tags article to learn how to work with master tags as well as create and manage custom tags.
View
Selecting View will activate the View Tags column to remain visible. Review the Views - Normal/Active and Full Spec, Short Form & Outline article to learn more about these tags.
Links
Selecting Links will activate the Linking column to remain visible. Review the Linking Basics article to learn more about linking and how to create links.
Note: If the Linking Column is active, users will not be able to toggle between Normal and Active view.
Notes
Selecting Notes will activate the Notes column to remain visible. Review the Project Notes article to learn more about creating notes.
Origin
Selecting Origin will activate the Paragraph Origin column to remain visible. This column will show whether the paragraph is a Master Paragraph, a Modified Master Paragraph, or a User Paragraph. Review the Basic Editing article to learn more.
