Overview
SpecLive Impact has added the ability to schedule both standard reports (Executive Overview and Spec Rate Trend Analysis) and saved searches to licensed users.
Available Reports
All Tiers will have access to the Executive Overview and Spec Rate Trend Analysis Report. SpecLive Impact users on Tier 3 and 6 will also be able to schedule all saved searches. Each of the available reports can be run directly from this screen by selecting the report, then clicking “Preview”. The Executive Overview will provide a 2 year snapshot of your companies specification activity ending with the last completed month prior to the run date. It normally takes approximately 3 days before a prior month’s data is available. All other reports and saved searches will provide their results in excel format.
Scheduling a report
Reports can be scheduled by selecting an available report or saved search, the clicking on “Schedule”.
From here, you can schedule your report to go out on a weekly or monthly basis. Be sure to select a day, hour and time zone as well.
Note; We recommend you schedule the Executive Overview using “First Business Day report is available for the prior month”. This will typically be on the 3rd day of the month provided it falls on a Monday through Friday. In the event the 3rd occurs on a weekend, the report would be delivered the following Monday at the time of day indicated.
A default Email Subject line will be added, and can be changed to a customized description.
There is an option to add a customized text message to your email, but this is not required.
All licensed users can be added to the Recipients list.
Note: We recommend you select yourself as a recipient when setting up a report for the first time and click “Send test email to selected recipients”. Once you’ve received the email, you can change the recipients list going forward.
Viewing and Editing Scheduled Reports
All scheduled reports will be displayed in the Scheduled Reports window. You can edit an existing Scheduled Report by selecting it in the Scheduled Reports Window, then clicking “Schedule”. You can also make a copy of an existing scheduled report or delete it entirely.
Activity Log
The Activity Log will display information on all reports that have been sent, including test emails. Expanding any entry in the activity log will provide an individual breakdown of each intended recipient and show a record of any errors.
Some errors, such a non-existent address will show within a few minutes of being received by the email server. Some, such as a bounce back, may take several hours before being received.
