Changing a Section Name or ID in SpecLink Cloud

Overview

Users can change the Section Name or ID of a user section or RIB Master section. 

Notes:

• A section that's name or ID has been changed will continue to receive automatic updates based on the original section.
• The Suffix of an RIB Master Section can not be changed.

Changing a Section Name or ID in SpecLink Cloud

Follow the steps below to change the Section Name or ID of a user or RIB Master section.

1. Locate the section to be edited from the Sections list within a project.
   
   
2. Click the options menu (3 vertical dots) located at the right end of the section entry row.
   
   
   
   
3. From the options menu, select Change Name or ID.
   
   
   
   
4. Enter the desired changes to the Section ID, Suffix, and/or Section Name for the new section. All three fields are editable here.  The combination of Section ID and Suffix must be unique for each section.
   
   
   
   Note: The Suffix field will display the author of the section. 
   
   
5. Click OK.
