Overview
Active projects as well as Office Masters can be copied in SpecLink Cloud.
Steps to Copy a Project or Office Master
Follow the steps below to copy an active project or office master.
- From the SpecLink Cloud Dashboard, click the Create New Project button.
The Create New Project window will open.
- From the Create New Project window, select to create either an Office Master or Active Project depending on your need. In the image below, the Active Project option has been selected.
- Next, you'll be asked "Where do you want to start?" Select to either Copy from Office Master or Copy from Existing Project, depending on your need. In the image below, the Copy from Existing Project option has been selected.
- A list displaying the first 3 projects in your projects list will appear along with a Browse More button. If the project you want to copy is visible, click it. If the project you want to copy is not visible, select the Browse More button as shown below.
A list of existing projects will appear for you to choose from.
- Click the name of the project you want to copy from this list and click Next.
If you are satisfied with the selections to this point, move to step 2 of the Create New Project window to enter the project information as though you are creating a new project.
- After entering all the project information in step 2, the final option is whether or not to copy the comments from the existing project/office master.
The Copy Comment Options:
- Copy all comments - All comments are copied to the new project/office master.
- Copy open comments - Only open comments are copied.
- Do not copy comments - No comments are copied.
- Finally, click Finish to create your copied Project or Office Master.
