Project Sharing / Privacy

Overview

Project Sharing / Privacy allows for the selection of a project type, as well as the ability to view the project members.

Accessing the Project Sharing / Privacy Preferences

Access the Project Sharing / Privacy preferences by clicking the Summary Info tab from within a project.

Scroll to the bottom of the left column to access the preferences shown below.

Project Types

The Project Privacy area allows for the selection of a project type. All projects are set to Public by default. There are three project type options:

• Public
  • Any team member can access this project.
  • An outside contributor can access this project if invited through the Share feature on the Projects dashboard.
• Private
  • A team member can open this project only if granted access by the Owner or a System Manager. Team members who do not have access will still see the project listed on the Projects, Office Masters, or Archive list.
  • An outside contributor can access this project if invited through the Share feature
• Hidden
  • A team member can open this project only if granted access by the Owner or a System Manager. Team members who do not have access will not see the project listed on the Projects, Office Masters, or Archive list.
  • An outside contributor can access this project if invited through the Share feature.

Project Members

The Project Member area provides the ability to add or change the project admin as well as review project  team members and contributors.

Project Admin

Projects created before the SpecLink Cloud version 2.7 release will require an admin to be set. Click the Add Project Admin button text to choose a project admin.

Projects created after the SpecLink Cloud version 2.7 release will display the creator of the project as the project admin. Click the Change Project Admin text to select a different project admin. 

Team Members

Team members are those users on your account that have access to the project. A Public project will not display team members because everyone on the account can access a public project.

Team members will appear when a project is set to Private or Hidden as displayed below.

Contributors

Contributors are those people who've been invited to access the project through the projects dashboard. Learn more about sharing projects here.
