Creating a New Section from a Template

Overview

You can create a new section in SpecLink Cloud from the standard 3-Part Section Template.

The 3-Part Section Template is available for review in the Administration "Division" and Templates "Subdivision".

Steps to create a new section from a template.

Follow the steps below to create a new section from the standard 3-Part Section Template

1. From the Sections list of your project, click the red New button.
   
   

2. From the New menu, select Create from Template.
   
   

3. The New Section from Template window opens. Edit the Section ID, Suffix, and Section Name fields to match your needs, then click Save. The Folder section will automatically update based on Section ID.
   
   
   
   Below you'll see I've added a Section ID "015400" and Section Name "Temporary Construction Trailers".
   
   
   
   The new section will be created and the Sections List will open to the new section as pictured below.
