Overview
The Document Map improves navigation within a specification section, providing a clear outline of the content in each section, allowing users to efficiently navigate to any part of the section by clicking on the corresponding paragraph within the map.
The Move to Paragraph controls (First/Last/Previous/Next) have moved from the SpecLink Cloud toolbar to the top of the Document Map.
Accessing the Document Map
The Document Map is located in the Document Manager. The Document Manager is found on the right side margin of any section editing window.
Using the Document Map
Once the Document Map has been accessed from the Document Manager, the map will display a tree structure outline of the section displaying Level 1 and 2 paragraphs along with the End of Section paragraph.
Click on the Level 1 or 2 paragraph in the map to drive the cursor to that paragraph within the section.
Custom user paragraphs will be displayed as well as RIB Master Content. If a Level 1 or 2 Paragraph is an image or a table, the notation "{IMAGE}" or "{TABLE}" will appear in the Document Map.
Click on a paragraph in the Document Map, the section editor will auto-scroll to that location so the corresponding paragraph appears at the top of the section view.
The Document Map allows the user to to avoid scrolling within the editor, moving quickly to:
- the First paragraph of the section (Sequence 0001).
- the Previous same-level paragraph.
- the Next same level-paragraph.
- the Last paragraph "End of Section".
