Overview
Keynote Text Files can be exported from a SpecLink Cloud Project or Office Master by accessing the options menu for the Project or Office Master. The exported Keynote text file (.txt) can be used to assign keynotes to objects in Revit.

Exporting Keynotes from a SpecLink Cloud Project
When exporting keynotes from a Project, only active paragraphs that exist under the "Section Includes" article in each active section will be exported. When each of these paragraphs is exported, they will also be tied to an automatically generated keynote number.
To get started from the Projects List on the SpecLink Cloud Dashboard, locate the target Project to export the Keynotes text file. Click on the options menu for that project (accessible with the three dots on the far right side of the screen). From there, the dropdown options menu will open. Click "Export Keynote(s)" to begin downloading the text file.
The exported text file will appear in the Export Files Menu in SpecLink Cloud.
From there, click on the menu (three dots) button and select download from the dropdown list.
Exporting Keynotes from a SpecLink Cloud Office Master
When exporting keynotes from an Office Master, all paragraphs (active and inactive) that exist under the "Section Includes" article in each section will be exported. When each of these paragraphs is exported, they will also be tied to an automatically generated keynote number.
To get started from the Office Masters List on the SpecLink Cloud Dashboard, locate the target Office Master to export the Keynotes text file. Click on the options menu for that Office Master (accessible with the three dots on the far right side of the screen). From there, the dropdown options menu will open. Click "Export Keynote(s)" to begin downloading the text file.
The exported text file will appear in the Export Files Menu in SpecLink Cloud.
From there, click on the menu (three dots) button and select download from the dropdown list.
The Keynote File Details
Once downloaded, the Keynote text file (.txt) will appear in your downloads folder. The text file (.txt) file will employ the following syntax:
<Project Name>_<MM.DD.YYYY>_Keynote.txt
Upon opening the Keynote Text File, it will include multiple different types of information.
- Paragraphs under Section Includes
- Division number and Division Title
- Section ID and Section Title
- Keynote Number and paragraph text
- Section Source Tag format
- Text will be ALL CAPS
